Profile
Background
Amaterasu no-Mikoto is the daughter of Izanami no-Mikoto and is currently the only known child of hers that is alive that survived the Bloodline Rebellion.
despite her appearance is Amaterasu is actually centuries old, while her exact birthday has yet to revealed as she is responsible for the creation of Shinto Scriptures one can assume she is a couple of thousand years old.
Since founding Shinto Amaterasu has lead the Miko of Japan. while the worship of Shinto had died down Amaterasu has kept to keeping the Shinto Shrines a sanctuary for women to escape to.
Appearance
Amaterasu looks to be in her late 20's with long black hair and is always seen wearing the traditional Miko gown consisting of a white haori but rather than a red hakama Amaterasu's hakama is black.
Personality
Amaterasu is calm and gentle however will quickly change her demeanour when there is a threat to the other Miko who she refers to as her sisters, even when the threat directed to a woman who has sought shelter in her such as when she used her ultimate spell to kill a husband who went to drag off his wife who sought sanctuary in one of the shrines.
Amaterasu is always looking out for the future of the Miko both current and future and takes into consideration what her actions will do to them. despite wanting to end her eternal life she has avoided committing suicide due to the impact on Miko such an action would make. all those have tried to take her life she had stopped with her ultimate spell with the exception of the Yagami Team who she trust would not harm the Miko after her death.
While she hads the power to see what's going on at Tokyo Tower she appears to be afraid of a presence that is also lingering where Lord Dearche is.
Chronology
Material Unit Attack
Prior to Lord Dearche's return to Japan with the TALON Controller Amaterasu lost sight of the Controller when it was stolen by the Americans and began to see it once again upon it's return, however she kept this knowledge secret even from Midori
She was made aware about the TALON Unit in Uminari City first when one of the Miko spotted Alicia, Suzuka and Arisa and after receiving reports on the Himiya Shrine in Suzu and the Hachiman Shrine in Toyako she began to make preparation to move on Tokyo Tower while having the TALLON Unit in Toyako to be relocated.
She was initially unaware of Midori's actions against Shamal but when Hayate's arrival on Itsukushima was detected Midori revealed her threat. While Midori wanted to keep Amaterasu out of the upcoming fight Amaterasu stopped the fight before it began to avoid the Miko being hurt.
after fighting the Yagami Team in her Reality Frame Amaterasu left Midori to lead the Miko while transferring her magic to Hayate

Protective Gear
The name of Amaterasu's protective clothing is unknown or even if the Miko have a special name for their haori and hakama synonymous with Mid-CHilden Barrier Jackets or Belkan Knight Clothing. when Amaterasu is inside her Reality Frame her haori and hakama are much longer and hold a more ceremonial feel to their appearance.
Amaterasu also hides a long red ribbon in her haori which when she changes to her ceremonial clothing in her Reality Frame floats around her shoulders and arms. the only purpose it appears to have is activating the Reality Frame.
Abilities
Immortality
Despite her appearance Amaterasu is much, much older. while ages naturally however when she sleeps her body gets younger however this is not enough to undo a day's growth. Midori explains that Amaterasu can be 80 years old and look 50
When Amaterasu reaches a certain age she falls into a coma and sleeps until she as regenerated to a 17 year old's body before she awakes again. aside from having the same name as a Shinto Kami when Amaterasu goes into her coma the Miko will classify it as the 'death' of that alias and a new alias prepared ready for when she wakes.
It is unknown whether this is a natural trait of the no-Mikoto Family or even if it is common place for a trait like this to exist in Al-Hazard however Amaterasu's Immortality only grants her eternal life as she is susceptible to her injuries

- like how Alicia refer to Izanami and Trishia's last name Amaterasu's last name is spelt as "no-Mikoto" rather than having a hyphen like in "Izanami-no-Mikoto"
